Before entering any data in CAESAR-II, the units of the Input data to be determined.

There are two types of units

  1. Internal Units (units software is set in)
  2. User Units  (Units of User input data)

  2. Force (N) – A cause of motion or change
  3. Mass Dynamics (Kg) – Mass
  4. Moment (N.m) – is a measure of its tendency to cause a body to rotate about a specific point or axis
  5. Stress (K.pa)- Load per unit area
  6. Temp (Deg C)
  7. Pressure (psig)
  8. Elastic Modulus =(Kpa) -Stress/Strain
  9. Pipe Density – Kg/cu.cm
  10. Insulation Density – Kg/Cu.cm
  11. Fluid Density -Kg/Cu.cm
  12. Transl. -N/cm
  13. Rotational Stiffness -(N.m/deg)
  14. Unif. Load – (N/m)
  15. G Load’s – g
  16. Wind Load – Kpa
  17. Elevation (m)
